Hello there – here is what I have been up to since the last update – delivering leaflets. Many, many leaflets (again). I was out most of the day on Sunday and managed to burn my baldy scouse head but never mind.
However, on Sunday night, I finally managed to see somebody who has been a hero of mine since I was about 13 – Alexei Sayle. He was reading from his new book, “Thatcher Stole My Trousers” in Manchester. For the 2 hours that he was on stage, laughed and laughed and laughed. A very funny man, and a life tick box ticked.
By the way – buy the book. It’s brilliant. At least a laugh per page.

Other than leafleting, I have had a few meetings this week.
Myself and Councillor Cain met a council officer on Monday with a view to getting our mobile video cameras out into the ward. They should be out and about in the very near future and will be ruining the days of fly tippers and dog foulers real soon.
I also met with some council officers with regards to an idea that I have about the regeneration of Central Drive with the involvement of the local arts community. This is very much at the ideas stage of development at the mo, so I won’t go into any further detail until there is something substantial to report.
Myself and Councillor Cain also met with some of the ladies from the Revoe Residents Association to start planning a fun day for later in the summer – again, I will report in more detail once we have furthered the project.
So that was this week.
After work, I am going to see my second scouse legend this week – Craig Charles is doing one of his Funk and Soul shows in Bootleg Social, Topping Street, tonight (hence the video above). If you like this sort of music, then I would strongly advise to get yourself down there – this will be about the 7th or 8th time that I have seen him and he puts on a great show. You will see no-one more enthusiastic about the music that he is playing.
Anyhoo, take care & drop by soon,
